Build & Design

The build & design of The Syma X5SW-V3 is very close and similar to the Potensic T25 and the Holy Stone HS 100, it is a very sleek design that looks great when you’re flying the drone up in the air.

The drone size is: 12.4 x 12.4 x 4.3 in which is not too small and not so huge, it’s a mid-sized drone.

The drone is made of durable material that can withstand lots of hits and crashes without being damaged which is a great news for beginners so they can fly the drone without worrying of breaking it

The drone comes equipped with landing gears which let the drone land safely and protect the bottom of the drone in the case of crashes. The drone also comes with propeller guards which their role is to provide protection to the propellers so they don’t get broken if you crash the drone while flying it.

All in all, the drone is designed with beginners in mind so they can freely fly the drone without the fear of breaking or damaging it while they’re still learning how to fly their drones.

Camera

The drone comes with a camera that provides First Person View(FPV), through connecting to your smartphone through WiFi connection and using the app as an interface, which lets you fly the drone as if you’re driving a car, it lets you see what the front of the drone is facing. This feature comes in handy when you’re flying the drone far away and you can’t see it within your sight, then looking through the app becomes handy.

The drone comes with no SD card slot so the only way to save photos and videos is through your smart phone app which lets you capture images and videos and save it on your smartphone.

Unfortunately, the camera is fixed and can’t be tilted remotely so you can’t adjust the angle of the camera while the drone is up in the air, also the quality of the images and videos that are captured by the camera isn’t so great so if you’re buying a drone for photography purposes or for other reasons that include high-quality images this drone is not recommended for you, I would recommend the Potensic T25 instead.

Performance

Performance wise the Syma X5SW-V3 drone is responsive to the controller and is easy to fly, so if you’re a beginner you’re quickly going to enjoy flying this drone and you’ll not struggle much with the learning curve because this drone is easy to use.

The drone’s control distance is 50 m which falls into the short side of the control distances, and it has 5-7 minutes of flight time which is the average, but it has 90-120 minutes of charging time which is so long.

It’s important to note hear that the drone has low wind resistance capabilities and a slight breeze of wind would blow it away, so you better flight it in a sunny day where there’s no wind.

Features

This drone comes with the most basic features that helps a beginner with his journey of flying a drone, these features are:
